ROCKFORD (WIFR) – After spending nearly a year on an extensive search, the Rockford Area Economic Development Council has chosen its next president.
Michael Nicholas was named the new RAEDC President today at Eigerlab. The 66-year-old was the former president and CEO of Continental Data Label in Elgin. The search committee says that picking Nicholas was a unanimous decision and the Crystal Lake Native is ready to bring his 30+ years of experience in manufacturing to the Rockford area.
“One of the greatest satisfactions anybody can get is helping the communities grow and develop. With my business experience, I think I’ll be able to help do that in Rockford and maybe help attract other companies to the area as well,” said RAEDC President Michael Nicholas.
Nicholas will officially take office on April 7th.
